I'm Alexander Torres, a 3rd year student at Ohio University. This year, courtesy of my literary editing class, I've been tasked with creating a literary journal set for publication. I struggled initially, but eventually found my inspiration for this journal through a previous piece I wrote called "The House that Grew". Although not a literary masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, it was something that inhabited an aspect of life everyone deals with—change. And that's how Thresholds was born: through interacting with change.
About Thresholds
Established in 2025 at Ohio University, Thresholds is an undergraduate literary journal dedicated to exploring moments of transformation or change. Our mission is to publish creative work from people that moves through moments of change or explore what transformation looks like in their respective worlds. Although we might not be as established as mainline journals, we are dedicated nonetheless to presenting our readers with a place to enjoy literature in its purest form.
