Thresholds

Doorways Into Change

Mission
Statement

Thresholds began with the image of a house that wouldn’t stop changing—each room unfolding into another room, imagined or forgotten. That image, which itself became a short story, turned into a reflection on how every passage, every transition we live through, reshapes us. From that idea grew this journal: a space for writing that inhabits transformation. In Thresholds, every piece opens a new room, each work is a doorway into change—a step toward a new understanding.

Call for Submissions

Thresholds invites fiction, poetry, art, photography, and creative nonfiction that explore transformation—personal, emotional, physical, or otherwise. We’re drawn to writing that moves through moments of change, blurs the line between what’s real and what’s imagined, and reveals what happens when we cross from one version of ourselves into another. Think of each piece as a room: intimate, mysterious, and waiting to be opened. Show us what transformation looks like in your world—how it reshapes memory, identity, or even reality itself.
